1.Who we are
AI Guru (aiguru.lk) is operated by INVOS GLOBAL (PVT) LTD, a company in Sri Lanka. For anything about this policy or your data, contact us at support@aiguru.lk.
2.Information we collect
To provide the Service, we collect:
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only in hashed form).
- Learning profile: grade, subjects, language and preferences, and optional details such as school and district.
- Study content: the questions you ask, answers, notes and cards, and any course material you upload.
- Support messages: what you send us when you ask for help or report a problem.
- Payment details: your mobile number and billing city. Card details are entered directly with PayHere; we never see or store them.
- Automatic data: learning activity (such as lessons opened, time studied and quiz results), technical data (such as IP address, browser and device type) and preferences saved in your browser’s local storage.
Voice questions: when you ask by voice, your browser’s speech service turns speech into text; only the resulting text reaches us.
3.How we use your information
We use your information to:
- create and run your account;
- tailor lessons, practice and study plans to your level;
- process payments and manage plans and credits;
- answer support requests;
- keep the Service secure and prevent misuse;
- improve the Service;
- meet our legal obligations.
4.AI processing
To generate lessons, answers, quizzes and the teacher’s voice, we send your request and relevant learning-profile details to AI model providers. We never send them your password or payment details.
6.Cookies and local storage
We save your preferences (such as language and theme) in your browser’s local storage. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
7.Children
AI Guru is designed for school students, many of whom are under 18. Children should use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Parents and guardians can ask us to review, correct or delete their child’s information by writing to support@aiguru.lk.
8.How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we do so within 30 days, except for records the law requires us to keep, such as payment and tax records.
9.Security
We protect data with HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, access controls and trusted infrastructure providers.
10.Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data;
- withdraw consent or object to processing;
- complain to the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.

11.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will announce significant changes on the Service or by email.
