1.The Service
AI Guru is an AI teacher for Sri Lankan students from Grade 1 to Grade 13, and for learners who upload their own course material. It explains lessons, answers questions asked by text or voice, and offers practice, flashcards, notes and study plans in Sinhala, English and Tamil.
Lessons follow the National Institute of Education (NIE) syllabus where applicable. AI Guru is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NIE, the Department of Examinations, the Ministry of Education or any school.
2.Students under 18
If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians who let a child use the Service accept these Terms on the child’s behalf and are responsible for the child’s use of it, including any purchases.
3.Your account
When you create an account, please:
- give accurate information and keep it up to date;
- keep your password private;
- tell us straight away at support@aiguru.lk if you think someone else has used your account.
You are responsible for activity on your account.
4.AI-generated content
Lessons, answers, quizzes and the teacher’s voice are generated by artificial intelligence. We work hard to keep them accurate and age-appropriate, but AI can make mistakes. Please check important facts against your textbook, your teacher or another trusted source.
AI Guru supports learning; it does not replace school teachers. We cannot guarantee any particular exam result or mark.
5.Plans, credits and payments
Some features are free. Others use credits, at the rates shown on the Billing page.
- Paid plans are prepaid for one month or one year and do not renew automatically.
- Monthly credit allowances do not carry over to the next month. Top-up credits stay valid while your account is active.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
- Prices are in Sri Lankan rupees (LKR) and include applicable taxes. A price change never affects a period you have already paid for.
- Payments are processed securely by PayHere.
Refunds are handled under our Return & Refund Policy.
6.Acceptable use
Please use AI Guru for learning. Do not:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- upload material you have no right to use, or anything harmful, hateful or sexual;
- bully, threaten or harm others;
- try to hack, overload or disrupt the Service, or get around its limits;
- copy, scrape or resell the Service or its content.
7.Your content and uploaded material
You keep ownership of the questions, notes and course material you add. You allow us to store and process them only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Upload only material you own or have permission to use. If we receive a valid complaint that material breaks someone else’s rights, we may remove it.
8.Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, lessons and the AI Guru name and logo, belongs to INVOS GLOBAL (PVT) LTD or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own learning.
Syllabus documents, textbooks and past papers remain the property of their owners.
9.Changes and new features
AI Guru keeps improving, so we may add, change or remove features. Features marked “beta” may not always work as expected; please report problems through in-app feedback or to support@aiguru.lk.
If we permanently remove a paid feature during a period you have already paid for, we will give you a pro-rata refund for it.
10.Limitation of liability
We provide the Service “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under Sri Lankan consumer protection law.
11.Suspending or closing an account
You can stop using the Service at any time, and ask us to delete your account by writing to support@aiguru.lk.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. Where we can, we will warn you first and explain why.
12.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will announce significant changes on the Service or by email. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
13.Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
